Clamshell Series Description

The Clamshell Series was introduced new in 2016.  All who participate in 5 or more Clamshell events receive an award which is typically distributed at our annual holiday party.  This is intended to encourage WTAC members to put on their WTAC singlet or shirt or colors, and come run and have fun at local RI and CT races with their fellow teammates!

Clamshell Rules

  • Open to current WTAC members only.  Any club dues must be paid up-to-date for the current year.  (If you're not a member or not current on dues, just click on the "Membership" tab above.)

  • Bonus point always given for group run.  See Group Run page for details.

  • One race in series every month for a total of 12.  Members must run a minimum of 5 races to be eligible for any end-of-year standings and awards. 

  • We will recognize any awards and achievements at our December party.  (Thus, the race year runs from December to November.)

  • Standings overall will be tracked, posted here, and recognized at December party.

  • Have fun!

Bonus Points:

  • 1-point bonus for running any monthly club group run (assuming it isn't already the feature of the month).

  • 1-point bonus for running any of the WTAC events under "Bonus Points" column above.

  • 1-point bonus for running 5 or more of the Tom McCoy Fun Run Series 5K races (participation and standings).
