Start times:  *** NOTE EARLIER START TIMES in 2026 ***
8:30am:  Registration opens
10:00am:  Start of 5K and 5-Mile races
11:00am:  Start of kids' run on the beach (FREE, but registration required.  Ages 10 and under only.)

The course is on flat, fast roads along Atlantic Avenue.  The 5K will turn around near Weekapaug Bridge; 5 Mile course continues along the ocean through Weekapaug before returning to Atlantic Avenue.  Both courses are USATF certified.  Timing by SNERRO.

Entry fees:
- Early  registration (up to Mar 29):  $26 adults, $21 age 18 and under 
- Regular registration (Mar 30 - Apr 18):  $33 adults, $28 age 18 and under
- Race day registration (Apr 19):  $38 adults, $33 age 18 and under

$5 discount to all WTAC members, $2 discount to all Mohegan Striders
Shirts: included if registered by Mar 23; afterwards first-come, first-serve

Awards:
Overall:  Top male and female
Age Groups:  Winner (male & female) in each of:  13 and under, 14-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70-79, 80+

RI Grand Prix:
We are thrilled to have the Clamdigger 5-Mile race be part of the 2025 Rhode Island Grand Prix!

The Rhode Island Grand Prix is an annual road racing series for Rhode Island-based runners and running clubs. Over the course of several races, runners compete as both individuals and teams to accumulate points in the hopes of winning awards (and bragging rights!) at the end of the year.

Chowder and drinks will be served post-race for all participants.  Strollers discouraged, but if used should start at the back of the pack.   Dogs allowed as spectators only; prohibited on course per the terms of our liability insurance.  Walkers are welcome at all of our events; HOWEVER, in consideration of our volunteers' time, we respectfully ask walkers to choose the shorter 5K course.
